Ohh Lordy. What a couple of days I have had.

If someone would have told me as I was holding a newborn Kasey that some day I would want to knock some sense in him I would have thought they were nuts. Not my baby, not this sweet little baby boy. No way!

Report cards came out on Friday. Need I say more?

I came home from work, Jake and Hannah were eager to give me their reports and Kasey hung back. I knew it wasn't good by the look on his face.

"wasn't good" is a gross understatement.

Everyone can do a collective eye roll when I say "Kasey is a VERY bright kid and he doesn't live up to his potential"

Well it is true. He harldy studies and he will pull off B's.

Knowing that I am sure you are wondering WHY he didn't do so hot. Well, good test grades do you absolutely NO GOOD WHEN YOU DON'T DO THE HOMEWORK.

According to Kasey, he doesn't need to do the homework because he already knows the material and it is a waste of his time.

Well now isn't that special. Lucky for Kasey because he has all the time in the world to waste now! Becuase basically all he can do is eat, sleep, breathe, go to school and ohhh do homework!   

Tom and I tell him all the time, if you would use your powers for good just think of what you can accomplish! In true 15 year old fashion he closes his eyes and rolls them so I can't see him do it.

We were thisclose to making him stay home from our trip to DC. I will spare you the family drama and cut to the chase, we had no one to keep him. Then Tom thought he should come so he can have a talk with him face to face.  So, there ya go, he is going. I am agreeing under protest and he has no place to say.

I am going to get off the subject here and say: Don't tell someone your DIL who's husband is gone for any length of time to call if she needed anything if you didn't plan on following through. I'm just sayin'.

Ohh migosh. Lord help me now if the younger 2 are like this. You guys will have to visit me on the psyche ward.
