This year has been a year of challenges and losses. But when I look beyond those challenges and losses I see a wonderful life.
A life that I am so grateful to have.
Tom and I met 18 years ago this month. I am thankful that all those years ago he saw me and knew he wanted to meet me. I am thankful for our relationship and I look forward to many many many more years with him.
I am thankful for each of my children. They truly are the best thing I have ever created in this life.
I am thankful for my family... more specifically my mom and sisters and my brother. We may not be the ideal Norman Rockwell family, but there is love. Unconditnal love...the kind you will find no where else in life.
I am thankful for good friends. Without my friends this year I am sure I would be eating Thanksgiving dinner in the psych ward under lock and key. They have talked me down from the ledge more times than I care to admit. My girlfriends are the best, they really are. Everyone in life should have girlfriends like mine. If you don't have girlfriends like mine, you need to go and find some! Seriously.
I am thankful for life lessons. They have helped me see people and situations in a whole new light. They have helped me change things in my life for the better. When I am in the thick of it...yeah it sucks. But when I get through the worst of it, and I can somewhat breathe and reflect...I can be thankful it is over. I can be thankful I lived through it. I can be thankful for the lessons I learned.
I am thankful for my talents. I am thankful for people who allow me to use my talents!
This year we spend Thanksgiving with Tom's Uncle and cousins. Tom and Sharon needed to be around people who knew and loved my FIL. It was one of the best Thanksgivings we have had in a long time. We laughed and cried and talked about the person my FIL was. We heard stories about when he was a child and those are priceless to Tom.
I hope each of you have a list of things to be Thankful for.
